I Forgive You
It’s not because I want to clear your sin
It’s not because my memories have worn thin
My soul is ready to pardon your crimes
And hold no regrets to condemn my times
If I don’t cease to feel these musky hole
A fire can burn me without control
My hatred is so deep that I might lose myself,
And my place to rest on the rightful shelf
For it’s my conscience that is asking me,
To forget all your wrongs, that must have to be
My salvation is at stake, that’s my concern
A good place in the afterlife I must earn
But it’s my pride that won’t forget your lies,
Dear sister, how can I look in to your eyes?
The formal poem.
