THE PURSUIT OF A BETTER EDUCATION Lizett McLoney is first of all a mother of three girls and her priority is to teach them the value of education and integrity. After the example to her children she is focusing on getting her degree in English. It is very important for her to be able to read and write perfect English so she can teach her kids the correct form of the English language and also of Spanish, her native language.
Lizett is very concerned for the future of this country and she tries to apply her concerns every time she writes and essay. She is the author of “WHO’S TO BLAME FOR THE INCONVENIENCE? Who let the back door open to the illegal immigrants?”, “LET THE RIGHT ONE IN Which illegal immigrant deserves to be in the US?” and her Memoir “8 COW WIFE”. In which all of these essays express her concern about immigration and the consequences of the government not paying attention to the issue.
Illegal immigration is an issue of public concern for her because she knows the good parts of it and the bad ones of the situation. Lizett, as a Latina, has been in the middle of the situation because she is Mexican and has seen the problems that affect other Latinos. Her experiences with both sides of the issue with her friends, family and acquaintances had her see illegals immigration purpose for this country.
She hopes to achieve her Assosiates degree in SLCC and continue her studies at the University of Utah. She would like to write in both the English and Spanish languages to benefit both of the two cultures that she is a part of. Her family and pursuing her dreams is what keeps her moving forward to a better education and for a better life.
